Description
We’re seeking a seasoned NDT Engineer to oversee and manage Non-Destructive Examination activities for a major oil & gas EPC project in Uzbekistan. You will be responsible for developing and implementing NDE plans, supervising third-party inspection teams, reviewing test reports, and ensuring all inspection activities meet project specifications, international codes, and client requirements. This role requires close coordination with construction, quality, and safety teams to ensure the integrity and compliance of pressure vessels, piping systems, storage tanks, and associated facilities.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive NDE plans in line with project quality requirements.
- Review and interpret engineering drawings, welding maps, and material specifications to define NDE scope, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Supervise and coordinate third-party inspection contractors, ensuring timely and accurate testing.
- Review and approve NDE procedures, personnel qualifications, and test reports.
- Ensure inspection activities comply with ASME, API, ISO, and other applicable standards.
- Monitor field NDE operations to verify adherence to safety and quality requirement
- Provide NDE support during the commissioning phase, including final inspections and re-validation of welds and components to ensure readiness for start-up.
- Liaise with the Client, EPC management, and site teams on quality and inspection matters.
- Identify and resolve non-conformities, recommending corrective actions.
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree or above (Engineering or related field preferred).
- Minimum 5 years’ NDE management experience in oil & gas, petrochemical, or related heavy industry projects.
- Strong knowledge of NDE methods including RT, UT, MT, PT, and advanced techniques.
- Familiarity with pressure vessels, piping, storage tanks, and structural steel inspection processes.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply ASME, API, ISO, and other international codes.
- Experience managing third-party inspection contractors and reviewing inspection reports.
- Strong problem-solving and quality management skills.
- Knowledge of Russian or Uzbek is an advantage.
