Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Corrosion Engineer to join our oil & gas field development project in Uzbekistan. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing corrosion control strategies, with hands‑on involvement in construction and site operations. This role demands a robust understanding of corrosion mechanisms in oil and gas environments, paired with practical field and construction experience.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute corrosion monitoring and mitigation plans for pipelines, equipment, and infrastructure.
  • Perform corrosion risk assessments, materials selection, coating specifications, and cathodic protection system design.
  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and operations phases, including on-site supervision and problem solving.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate corrosion engineering into project scope, ensuring compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections, non‑destructive testing (NDT) assessments, and failure analysis; recommend corrective actions and improvements.
  • Prepare technical reports, documentation, and provide training to site personnel on corrosion prevention practices.


Minimum Qualification

  • A bachelor’s degree is required as a minimum.
  • At least 5 years of corrosion engineering experience in oil & gas or petrochemical projects, including direct site or construction involvement.
  • Proficient in corrosion control methods, materials selection, coatings, cathodic protection, and corrosion monitoring.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (NACE, ISO, ASTM, ASME) and international best practices in corrosion engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience in construction or commissioning phases, with the ability to supervise on-site corrosion control implementation.
  • Proficiency in Russian and/or Uzbek is a strong asset.
